VENICE

Hello everyone! I thought since I am leaving the country again on other travels, I should finally post about my last little trip from last semester. Kate (one of my best pals) and I took a little vacation to start off our summer in Venice for about 4 days. We had the best time and it was a wonderful way to end my semester abroad. When I think about Venice now, since it's been a couple months since I've been there, I remember vividly that it is the most picturesque, completely-what-you-expect places in the world. The movies and pictures I've seen is exactly what it looks like in real life. It's like a dreamland. The wonderful canals, the architecture, the food, the art... it's all amazing. Everywhere you turned, it was a different canal and ally with a different little bridge. We spent an entire day just getting lost in the labyrinth that is Venice. We found some beautiful thin spaces as we walked. We hit all the major spots as well, including Saint Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs, among the many cathedrals and artwork throughout the city. We did a gondola ride on our last day, when it was raining, which is one of my most favorite memories. Overall, completely amazing. Here are some pictures...

First pizza!

Jazz Bar with bras on the ceiling!

We had gelato about 3 times a day

This is the sarcophagus of St. Mark... as in one of Jesus' disciples. It was truly incredible.

It started raining on our gondola ride. Magic!

Last sunset

Venice had the best sunsets, every night.

This trip was unreal and I was so blessed that I could share it with a lifelong friend. I came back the next day, pack and left Ireland the following day. It was a beautiful ending to a wonderful experience.

Keep it locked! I'll have posts in the next few days about my new adventure I'm embarking on today.

xoxo,
