Sunny day in London town.

Hello! It has been a while since I blogged, mainly because every weekend I seem to have some sort of adventure to go on (and I'm not complaining!). This is my post for the absolute, most amazing weekend since I've been here. I got to see my love Katie (who is my roommate back in the States) in London! We actually planned this since I met her basically, but I never really thought it would happen. Like, we used to always day dream in our kitchen and talk about how cool it would be if she got accepted to study in London and I got accepted to study in Ireland and how we would meet up and visit each other. BUT IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. It was so glorious to see her.  I missed her more than words could say.

Soooo... needless to say the weekend was FANTASTIC.

I got there Thursday night, she met me by the tube station and we were on our way (btw, the tube is the neatest thing ever). We were catching up, fell asleep and woke up to a bright, new day on Friday. We got some brunch and did some quick sight-seeing....

BIG BEN

Westminister too.

First sight of it!

After, we headed to Brighton, England, which is a seaside city about an hour outside London by train. It was super nice in London so, we were like "Oh, it'll be SO nice in Brighton." Yeah, right when we pulled up to our stop, it was so cloudy and gloomy and we were greeted with the realization that we weren't dressed for this weather. But, we settled on the fact that we would walk very fast to places so we braced the cold and were on our way.

We headed to the pier, only to find it semi abandoned and within this haze of clouds. It was amazing actually...

She so cute.

We think so in tune that we matched basically all weekend.

We had lovely crepes and walked around Brighton after. It was completely surreal being there with her. We had such a grand time.

We headed back to London and had a spur of the moment decision. So, my cousin works at an Apple store in London and I haven't seen him in over 4 years so we decided to surprise him! It was hilarious. I got the store location from my dad and we were on our way! When we got there, we went to search for him and I was secretly praying that he was working because I didn't tell him I was coming. We went upstairs and then I spotted him. I was like "Hey Brian!" He looked at me with a questionable look, started to say "Hey, can I help.. OH MY GOSH! WHAT THE HECK?!" We hugged and it was such a glorious moment. He could not believe I was there. It was so hilarious. We chatted for a couple minutes and then made plans to get breakfast the next day. It was so great.

The next morning, we got breakfast with Brian, and then headed to Notting Hill. Notting Hill was the setting of the movie "Notting Hill" with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. We got to see the store he worked in and the door to his apartment in the movie. It was great! They also had this amazing market as well and it was packed! After, we buzzed around and then went to just hangout like old times.

That night, we had a lovely friend date out to some pubs. It was an interesting and hilarious night ;)

On Sunday, we visited as many things as we could: Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Tower Bridge. Then, we hustled because we thought I was going to miss my flight. The next day was St. Patrick's Day so the airport was so busy with people going to Ireland. Thankfully, I made my flight.

Overall, it was such a great weekend. Now, I can't wait for her to visit me here!
